The Team
Our Platform Engineering team builds everything the product runs on. When a client scans their site, deploys a chat agent, or monitors their score, that's your code in production. Every interaction has to feel intelligent, and it has to happen within .11 seconds. The team is small and the bar is high. Founded by an ex-Google team, and we hire accordingly.
What Your First Year Looks Like
- Redesign the scan orchestration layer to dramatically increase throughput without increasing compute costs
- Ship the real-time event system that powers Active Monitoring alerts and score change notifications
- Architect the multi-tenant data layer that keeps enterprise client data fully isolated while enabling cross-account benchmarking
What the Day-to-Day Feels Like
- Design the systems that power every product Point11 ships — service boundaries, APIs, data pipelines, job orchestration
- Optimize queries slowing down the scan pipeline and pair with product engineers to validate your abstractions
- Make architectural decisions that balance shipping fast with building things that last
- Own observability, alerting, and incident response — when the platform is slow or down, you're the one who knows why and fixes it
- Create the abstractions that make the whole team faster — the kind that saves everyone else a month of work
About You
- You've built backend systems and infrastructure that run in production at real scale
- You're strong in TypeScript/Node.js or Python — you've built production APIs and data pipelines with both
- You understand database design, query optimization, and caching at a level where you can diagnose problems others can't see
- You're the engineer who makes the whole team faster — the one who sees the system-level problem before it becomes a fire
- You're based in or willing to relocate to Miami — this role is hybrid
Even Better If You Have
- Experience building multi-tenant SaaS platforms at scale
- Hands-on work with AI/ML inference pipelines or LLM orchestration
- A background with event-driven architectures like Inngest, Temporal, or similar
- Deep experience with cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Vercel and containerized deployments
